Rolling the IntelliPoint drive back to version 5.5 seem to resolve the issue. Adobe Photoshop Q&E is continuing to work on the problem with MSFT.

USA TODAY does a profile on Scott Kelby

LOS ANGELES — You can’t get rich writing computer books. Advances are low, and the lifespan of the book is short.
But you can get rich — ask Scott Kelby — by turning the book model on its head and expanding it into a $20 million-a-year empire.
Kelby’s books have topped Nielsen BookScan’s computer and photo categories for three years. But he has much more on his plate than the eight books he’ll write this year.

If Adobe has its way, there will be no photoshopping allowed from now on. Photoshop, as Adobe correctly points out, is a registered trademark name and shoud be capitalized and accompanied by a ®m. It’s not a verb.
So, we can’t say “I photoshopped that image” but we can say “I enhanced that image using Adobe® Photoshop® software.” “Trademarks are nouns,” notes Adobe in its Incorporated Terms of Use page, and “Trademarks must never be used as slang terms.”

Reports are indicating that the Adobe Photoshop CS3 public beta are due to expire in the coming days at the beginning of May, 2007. One report by Buko, on the Mac Photoshop User to User forum reports that the beta will expire on May 2nd. Other reports claim May 5th (which also happens to be Cinco de Mayo). In any event, rest assured that the beta will expire soon.
For those who still have the Beta installed, Adobe suggests (really emphatically) that you must remove the beta properly before installing the final release version.
On the Mac, the uninstaller is in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers. Note: You cannot uninstall by dragging CS3 applications to the trash; instead, you must use the uninstaller.
On Windows XP, uninstall via Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
On Windows Vista, in the Programs section of the Control Panel, select Uninstall a Program.
To aid in the manual removal, Adobe has posted TechNotes regarding how to remove the beta.
Manually Remove Photoshop CS3 public beta (Mac OS X)
Manually Remove Photoshop CS3 public beta (Windows XP)
Manually remove Photoshop CS3 public beta (Windows Vista)
Adobe has also posted scripts for the removal of the beta, see:
CS3Clean Script for Mac
CS3Clean Script for Windows

Someday soon, you might walk into the corner video store, point your camera phone at a DVD box, and instantly see reviews of the movie on your mobile screen. Or you’ll come home from a family vacation, upload pictures from your digital camera, and watch your computer throw out the ones with closed eyes or no smiles, and maybe even predict which shots you’ll like best.
