Program Error when accessing File Info in CS2

Source: Adobe Support Knowledgebase

Issue: A program error occurs in Adobe Photoshop CS2 when you save a TIFF file or open File Info for a TIFF image created bycertain cameras or scanners.

Details: Depending on the camera or scanner used to create the TIFF file, you may see one of the following error messages:

– “Could not complete your request because of a program error.”

– “Could not complete the File Info command because of a problem with the File Info module.”

Solution: Install the Photoshop CS2 9.0.1 update.

Download and install the update from the Adobe website at www.adobe.com/downloads .

Background information:
Some Exif metadata which gets written to TIFF files by Olympus DP70 and Phase One P25 cameras, and by Minolta Dimage 5400, SilverFastAI 6, Minolta Scan Multi Pro, or Minolta 5400 scanners, can cause a program error when you open or save the image in Photoshop. The 9.0.1 update ensures the Exif data is accepted.
