Issue: Adobe Photoshop runs extremely slowly.

Detail:

The Font Preview Size option in Type Preferences is selected.

Solution: Install the Photoshop CS2 9.0.1 update.

Download and install the update from the Adobe website at www.adobe.com/downloads .

Background information

If a damaged font is on your computer and Font Preview Size is selected, the performance of Photoshop can be reduced greatly. Update to Photoshop CS2 9.0.1 or deselect Font Preview Size. If performance improves significantly when you deselect Font Preview Size, check for a damaged font. See Related Documents below for information about troubleshooting font problems.
