In a post at the Adobe Lighroom Forums, George Jardine, Pro Photography Evangelist fessed up to the fact that his most recent movie tutorial for using the Develop module of Lightroom was done with Adobe Lightroom Beta 2. From the post:
This tutorial movie was not really supposed to hit the streets until B2 was ready…. but some sly character on this forum somehow found the link and posted it. So the cat is out of the bag.

Overview: Adobe has been made aware that the file and folder permissions for Photoshop CS2, Illustrator CS2, and Adobe Help Center can permit non-privileged users to change key program files. This condition presents a risk for shared, multi-user systems. Adobe is providing update utilities which correct these access permission issues and prevent manipulation of the program files by non-privileged users. Adobe recommends that customers using CS2 products on shared systems apply these updates.

For several years, certain models of Apple’s Powerbook line have represented a superb blend of features, screen quality and portability; in fact, the overall design of the company’s mobile machines has far eclipsed computers we’ve used from mainstream PC vendors in all key areas, except one: speed.
