ADIM 9 will take you through a real-world project and develop a brand identity for a new line of Western regional wines. You will design, brand, and label a family of red and white wines,as well as package them and create additional materials to promote the wines.

The goal of this conference is to help you improve your office workflow and make your Creative Suite 2 projects more efficient. In the process of designing your brand, you will learn from some mighty fine tips and tricks from some of the best dang Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat experts this side of the Mississippi.

Projects:
Projects are designed to enhance the class learning and provide opportunities for attendees to develop new skills. ADIM 9 participants will create a complete branding campaign for a personalized bottle of wine. This will consist of a logo, packaging photos, advertising poster, and a QuickTime banner advertisement, which will all be packaged into a DVD portfolio using Apple DVD authoring. Using Adobe Illustrator and the latest laser engraving process, participants will also be burning their designs into wood, aluminum and other materials.

The Art Directors Invitational Master Class (ADIM) was born 19 years ago at a pool party hosted by Stanford University executive Della van Heyst for a visiting group of publishers. Albert Chu of Apple arrived at the party with a Macintosh 512K, and gave a demo that inspired a desire for more hands on information. The 3-day Master Class morphed over time from the Stanford Art Directors Invitational Master (SADIM) Class into the Art Directors Invitational Master (ADIM) Class, but the driving force behind it has always been Della van Heyst, The Van Heyst Group, and Adobe creative director, Russell Preston Brown.

The class might be held on the Stanford University campus, in a beach front hotel in California, or in the heart of Manhattan, but the goal has never changed: Bring graphics professionals together to immerse them in new creative techniques using the latest software and hardware. Add props, prizes, and provocative events (often in costume!) and let the creativity flow.
