Adobe Updates Camera Raw to 3.3

Adobe has posted the Camera Raw 3.3 update information to the Camera Raw product page. The links to the actual Macintosh and Windows download pages have been updated to show the correct download links. PSN has the updated links for download. Here are the direct links for Macintosh and for Windows.

Support for the following cameras has been added from Camera Raw 3.2 to 3.3.

Installation
This new version of the Camera Raw plug-in replaces the original Camera Raw plug-in that was installed with Photoshop CS2, Photoshop Elements 3.0 and Photoshop Elements 4.0.

Photoshop CS2 and Adobe Creative Suite 2:
Windows®:
1. Exit Photoshop CS2 and Adobe Bridge.
2. Open My Computer.
3. Double-click Local Disk (C:).
4. Navigate to Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS2\File Formats.
5. Move the existing Camera Raw.8bi plug-in to another location (for example, a new folder on your
desktop). Ensure you keep this version in case you need to revert back.
6. Copy the Camera Raw plug-in, Camera Raw.8bi, from the download into the same folder as Step 4.
7. Launch Photoshop CS2 or Adobe Bridge.

Mac:
1. Exit Photoshop CS2 and Adobe Bridge.
2. Open the Finder.
3. Navigate to the root of the local disk (not the user’s home folder).
4. Navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS2/File Formats.
5. Move the existing plug-in to another location (for example, a new folder on your desktop). Ensure
you keep this version in case you need to revert back.
6. Copy the Camera Raw plug-in, Camera Raw, from the download into the same folder as in Step 4.
7. Launch Photoshop CS2 or Adobe Bridge.

Photoshop Elements:
Windows®:
1. Exit Photoshop Elements
2. Open My Computer
3. Double-click Local Disk (C:)
4. Navigate to Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 4.0\Plug-Ins\File Formats
5. Move the existing Camera Raw.8bi plug-in to another location (for example, a new folder on your
desktop). Ensure you keep this version in case you need to revert back.
6. Copy the Camera Raw plug-in, Camera Raw.8bi, from the download into the same folder as Step 4.
7. Launch Photoshop Elements

Mac:
1. Exit Photoshop Elements
2. Open the Finder
3. Navigate to Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 3/Plug-Ins/File Formats
4. Move the existing plug-in to another location (for example, a new folder on your desktop). Ensure
you keep this version in case you need to revert back.
5. Copy the Camera Raw plug-in, Camera Raw, from the download into the same folder as in Step 3.
6. Launch Photoshop Elements

The Camera Raw 3.3 plug-in is not compatible with versions of Photoshop earlier than Photoshop CS2 or versions of Photoshop Elements earlier than Photoshop Elements 3.0.
