I’m off for my annual Santa Fe Workshops class, so for the next couple of weeks, postings for PhotoshopNews will come when and where I can find high-speed internet access while on the road.
I know where most of the Starbucks are between Chicago and Santa Fe, so I should be able to access the net from time to time. If I have the time, I’ll post updates about the trip and the class, but travel by bike is time consuming so I don’t know how much posting I’ll be able to do.
In case you’re interested, the bike is a 1996 R1100 GS BMW (yes, they make bikes too). I’ve currently got a little over 75,000 miles on it-a lot of miles back and forth from Chicago to Santa Fe. The 17″ G4 laptop goes in the right side saddle bag, and the camera & lenses have a case that goes on the back. The radar detector goes on top of the tank bag :~)
I generally do 500-600 miles per day-although with a tail wind and no radar traps, I’ve been known to make over 800 miles in a day.
I ride pretty quick, but with the state of mind that everybody is out to get me…(more often than not, they are) and I ride with good equipment & gear.
My wife will be coming to meet me next week. She rides her F650 BMW down mid-week–she can’t think of anything worse than hanging around while I teach Photoshop. We should be back around Sept 22nd.
So, if you see me riding, honk while I pass you…
