Issue:When you start any of the applications installed with Adobe Creative Suite 2.0 they return the error, “Your [Adobe application] user name, organization, or serial number is missing or invalid. The application cannot continue and must now exit. ”

Canon 350D and Camera Raw 3.1 Issue - UPDATED

A post on the Adobe hosted Camera Raw User to User forums stated that a camera owner who sent his camera in to Canon for repair was unable to use Camera Raw 3.1 on the camera after receiving the repaired camera back. (read original thread)

Upon return, it was determined that the camera’s firmware had been updated to version 1.0.2. According to Thomas Knoll, the firmware update changed the internal name of the camera stored in the EXIF metadata from ‘Canon EOS 350D Digital’ to ‘Canon EOS 350D’ thus disabling Camera Raw’s ability to recognize the camera model type.

Adobe® Stock Photos has a new update, version 1.0.3, which gives you access to more images than ever before. The Adobe Stock Photos 1.0.3 update adds several new features and fixes some problems discovered after Adobe Stock Photos 1.0.2 was released. UPDATE: It seems the updates were posted prematurely, PSN has removed the direct links. However, the 1.03 update is now available via Adobe Updater.

Tom Fors in Death Valley

Tom Fors, the fellow who brought you the ACR-Calibrator script is taking a little trip to Death Valley. But geek that Tom is, he’s documenting the trip in an unusual manner, he’s blogging it live (well almost) and uploading GPS coordinates and hopefully photos from the location.

Using Google Maps, he’s upload the locations of the planned photo expedition’s itinerary and will be attaching photos when he gets air time on his Verizion high speed broadband wireless card.

Error when you save or export a PDF or Illustrator file (Mac OS)

Issue: When you try to save or export a file as a PDF file from InDesign CS2, Photoshop CS2, Acrobat 7 or Illustrator CS2, or save a file in Illustrator format from Illustrator CS2, you either get an error message when you save the file, or an error message when you open the resulting PDF or Illustrator file.
