LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) — Analysts expect Adobe Systems will to post a higher quarterly profit along with a revenue increase of more than 19% when it reports results on June 16.

Much of investors’ focus, however, is likely to remain centered on the San Jose, Calif.-based digital-document management software company’s (ADBE: news, chart, profile) planned acquisition of Macromedia Inc. (MACR: news, chart, profile) of San Francisco.

Adobe, the company behind the widely used Acrobat software for Internet publishing, is expected to report fiscal second-quarter earnings of 27 cents a share, up from 22 cents a share a year ago, according to the average estimate of analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call.

Revenue for the three-month period is projected to climb to $491 million from $410 million in the comparable period a year earlier, according to the estimates.
