Intel Inside: what does it mean for Photoshop?

With the recent announcement by Apple that they will “transition” from PowerPC to Intel microprocessors, the question is, what does this mean for Photoshop users?

I took an informal survey of several “engineering types” regarding the potential impact-either good or bad-of Apple’s transition plans and the impact on software developers. The single biggest response to a variety of questions was “Dunno”.
