SNAFU? FUBAR? Either way it’s Wrong

Martin Evening called from London to say that the first 2000 copies of his new book, Photoshop CS2 for Photographers are on the way to the US. So early buyers should be receiving their copies soon. He also pointed out an odd situation in regard to his book’s listing on Amazon.com.

It seems Amazon has screwed up the book title on it’s page and re-named it How to Cheat in Photoshop. See the screen capture below.

Ironically, the title of the book that Amazon transposed it with is by fellow Brit Steve Caplin, who is a good friend of Martin’s. Steve is also working on an updated revision to his How to Cheat in Photoshop which Steve reports should be finished shortly.

In any case, it seems Amazon has been informed of their SNAFU or FUBAR, or whatever and steps are being taken by publisher Focal Press to resolve the issue. In the meantime, you can order Martin’s new book with the CORRECT title from Barnes & Noble at this page.

PSN has also received word that Bruce Fraser’s World Real Camera Raw in Photoshop CS2 will be shipping soon and happily, Amazon has THAT title correct. Bruce also reports that he and David Blatner are in “book hell” working on a major revision to Real World Photoshop CS2 which “should be” done by the end of July.
