Exploring the Creative Edge

The Santa Fe Center for Photography announces:

Exploring the Creative Edge
Using digital technologies to communicate your vision to the world.
May 6-8, Santa Fe, NM
A retreat-style conference for photographers and other visual artists on the theme of using digital technologies to communicate one’s vision to the world.

Exploring the Creative Edge is dedicated to photographers, other visual artists and educators who seek to learn how the latest digital technologies can enhance the creative process and promote the distribution and sharing of images. Presentations explore the use of digital technologies to create book dummies, fine art prints, visual stories, museum and gallery shows, self-promotional pieces, DVDs and simple Web sites. Photographers who shoot digitally or on film can benefit from this conference, as well as other visual artists interested in using digital technologies to publish and promote their work. Presentations by renowned creative professionals explore digital artistry and practical applications. Intensive seminars, workshops and interactive opportunities range from introductory to advanced levels. Communication, inspiration, networking, portfolio sharing and exchange of ideas are important components of the weekend.

Participants are invited to lodge at the Retreat Center, home of the Santa Fe Workshops, a beautiful, historic retreat setting nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of New Mexico.
